Floratam St. Augustine

FLORATAM St. Augustine is the most widely produced and purchased turfgrass in Florida and is very popular in the entire Gulf region. First released by the University of Florida and Texas A&M in 1973, this blue-green St. Augustine grass has withstood the test of time. FLORATAM is also one of the most effective St. Augustine.

Citrablue St. Augustine

CitraBlue is a newly developed blue-green St. Augustine variety, created by the University of Florida to excel in Florida's sandy, salt-rich environment. Offering superior drought and traffic tolerance compared to other St. Augustine cultivars, CitraBlue stands out for its natural resistance to pests and disease, making it easier to maintain. Its lower mowing height of 1 to 3 inches—compared to the standard 4 inches—combined with its unique blue hue, creates a lush, vibrant lawn that is both resilient and visually striking.

Bitterblue St. Augustine

Bitterblue closely resembles Floratam St. Augustine sod and is great option for shady lawns as it only requires 4 hours of filtered sunlight. Its dark blue-green tone makes Bitterblue a regal choice for your lawn. Its slow growth rate means you mow less often. With good cold weather tolerance, Bitter Blue is an excellent all-weather grass. This sod has increased sensitivity to triazine herbicides, which can make it hard to control weeds in certain situations. A benefit to Bitter Blue is the growth rate! It grows much slower than other St. Augustine sod varieties. Thus it requires less mowing.
